Two clearly separated sections in every email — formal public bids and early permit activity. Here is what the format looks like.
Actual bid opportunities posted by public agencies. Always verify requirements with the issuing source.
Public permit records that may indicate upcoming work. These are leads to review and follow up on, not formal invitations to bid.
Sample digest for illustration. Representative examples only — not live opportunities. Real digests link to the original public source for each item.
They are different signals, so we present them differently. One is a formal opportunity. The other is an early heads-up.
Formal solicitations from local governments, school boards, state agencies, utility authorities, and public procurement portals. These are actual bid opportunities with deadlines.
Public permit filings that may indicate upcoming construction work — non-structural renovation, structural renovation, new construction, commercial renovation, or plan review activity.
To stay on top of work in your service area, you'd have to check all of these — every single morning.
Most contractors don't have time to check all of this every morning.
You can check them yourself. That's exactly the problem.
Between local purchasing pages, school boards, state portals, and a handful of permit sources, that's a lot of tabs to open before your real workday even starts — and it's easy to miss something the one morning you're busy on a job.
On The Bid List turns scattered public sources into one focused digest, matched to your trade and service area, with a direct link back to the original source for every item. We don't claim to catch absolutely everything — we make the daily check something you no longer have to do by hand.
Each item arrives with the fields contractors actually use to triage an opportunity — plus a direct link to the public source.
Choose your trade and describe your service area in your own words: a city, metro, counties, or a region.
We review your requested territory against our source coverage. Unsupported markets join our expansion waitlist; submitting does not guarantee immediate service.
Once your service is confirmed, receive relevant opportunities at your agreed plan cadence, with public bids and permit activity clearly separated.
Request a plan that fits your business. We confirm sources, service area, and delivery cadence before activation. New markets may be waitlisted.

How we handle your request and the information we provide.
When you request the free preview or pilot access, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email, company, phone, requested service areas, trade, plan interest, acknowledgment, and any notes.
To review your request, communicate about preview or pilot access, and plan source coverage. Our intake uses Cloudflare, Make, and Airtable to process and store submissions, and email services for internal notifications. We do not sell your information.
Digests and updates are sent from onthebidlist.com addresses. You can unsubscribe or request deletion anytime at [email protected].
On The Bid List is an independent information service that compiles publicly available bid postings and public permit records into an email digest. It is not a bid-writing or proposal service and does not guarantee awards.
Information comes from public sources and can change. Always verify requirements and deadlines with the issuing agency or source portal.
Free Weekly Preview is free. Starter is $20/month, Local Pro is $80/month, and Full Pilot is $199/month. These forms record interest only. Coverage, scope, and billing terms are confirmed separately before paid activation.
On The Bid List is an independent information service. Bid and permit information is sourced from public postings and public records and should be independently verified with the issuing agency or source portal. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, timeliness, lead quality, or contract awards. We are not affiliated with any government agency, school board, or procurement platform.
Permit activity is not a bid invitation. It is an early public signal that a contractor may choose to review and follow up on.
